Your therapist will gather relevant and historical information, help you identify goals and together you will formulate a treatment plan specifically tailored to you.
Feel free to ask your therapist questions and get to know her style. She is there to support, educate and guide you. Some people enjoy playing with fidgets or doodling while they talk. These items are readily available. Your therapist is there to listen and help you work through immediate, past or future concerns at the pace that feels comfortable for you.
The goals in couples counseling are typically to improve communication and identify/work through obstacles that might be interfering with your relationship. Issues can range from simple to complex.
Art Therapy provides all the benefits and principles of traditional counseling except it uses art materials and the guidance of a trained art psychotherapist to help the client process complex thoughts and emotions with improved insight, clarity and ease. The therapist will sometimes guide the client through art therapy directives/exercises in context to their current concerns or treatment goals.
Incorporating an intensive art therapy session into your family or couples treatment has been shown to move progress forward especially when treatment feels stuck. Depending on the goals and objectives, art therapy interventions can strengthen bonds between members and build trust.

Clients struggling with post traumatic stress symptoms will be fully evaluated through formal interview and a series of clinical inventories. If criteria is met, the client will be provided with a written referral supporting a diagnosis and medical marijuana intervention. Insurance may cover therapy visit (Does not include assessment/referral).
Please check your insurance coverage carefully. Some services may be covered in full and some in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. The client is responsible for co-pays or any remaining balances unpaid by the insurance company. Please check if prior authorization is required to avoid unnecessary fees. Keep in mind, some insurance plans only allow for 45 minute sessions.

The value of private-pay (out-of-pocket) is simply that it provides the client with more personalized care with a highly qualified and seasoned therapist, offers true privacy and generally, is more effective because there are no predetermined limits that can interfere with the therapeutic process. There is no time restrictions or frequency limitations with private-pay. You and your therapist can create a schedule and negotiate a plan that works just for you.
